AIPOC concludes with call to law makers to be more responsive for public interests

Patna, Jan 21 (UNI) The two-day All India Presiding Officers' Conference (AIPOC) concluded on Tuesday with resolutions adopted for elected representatives to be more responsive and accountable in accordance with spirit of the constitution.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday, while addressing media persons here after the end of conference, said that a total of five resolutions were adopted for elected public representatives to be more responsive for public interests. It would help them in becoming more accountable to people as envisaged in our constitution, he pointed out.
Birla called upon all political parties to extend their cooperation in smooth functioning of parliament and state legislatures. It was the responsiblities of all parties to ensure that their elected representatives could behave properly in running the parliament and state legislatures, in larger interests of the people, he added.
