AIMIM leader joins issue with PM on cow vigilante, says Modi should walk the talk

New Delhi, Jun 29 (UNI) The AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi today said that no amount of talks and appeal even by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have any impact vis-a-vis the role of the gau-rakshaks (cow protectors) and their vigilante. "I am very much sure that even this appeal from Prime Minister will have no impact," Mr Owaisi told a television news channel and added there is a "slip between cup and the lip". He said rather the Prime Minister must "walk the talk" as majority of incidents by the Gaurakshaks against people including from minorities have taken place in BJP ruled states. "These are happening in BJP-ruled states as there is protection of gau-rakshaks by the RSS and the BJP. There is an appeasement of cow protectors," he said. Mr Owaisi, known for his hardline stance against the BJP, said under the BJP-rule the vale of human lives have come down as against the lives of animals. Addressing the centenary celebration of the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedamad, earlier in the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed anguish over the present atmosphere of violence in the nation and asserted that no one can be allowed to kill people in the name of cows.
