AIMIM activists set alight MSEDCL chief engineer's office

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 6 (UNI) To protest against emergency load-shedding being enforced across the state including the city, activists of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Friday torched the cabin of chief engineer of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) here.

Before the incident, AIMIM activists, led by MLA Imtiaz Jaleel, took out a rally to the MSEDCL head office demanding to withdraw the load shedding in the city.

When they reached the office to meet chief engineer Suresh Ganeshkar, he was not present in his cabin and on his behalf one of the officials accepted the memorandum of their demand.
Irate activists raised slogans and in a fit of rage, they allegedly manhandled one of the onduty woman security guard and also torched the cabin of the chief engineer, damaging furniture and air conditioner therein.
