Agriversity scientist Dr. Adarsh Kumar wins PLRC National Vet Excellence Award

Dharamshala, Mar 6 (UNI) A veterinary scientist of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, Dr. Adarsh Kumar, has been conferred with the “PLRC National Vet Excellence Award–2026” for his outstanding contributions to veterinary medicine and animal welfare.
Dr. Kumar, Professor of Surgery and Head of the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex at Dr. G.C. Negi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, received the award from the PAWS Learning & Research Council in recognition of his dedication to veterinary education, clinical practice and research.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ashok Kumar Panda congratulated Dr. Kumar on the national honour, stating that his achievement reflects his tireless efforts in advancing veterinary science, particularly in the specialized field of veterinary dentistry. He said the recognition has brought pride to the university and will motivate young veterinarians and researchers to excel in animal healthcare and innovation.
