The AGP, fighting the election with BJP as its ally, promised to ensure implementation of Assam Accord, which was signed in 1985 as a culmination of a mass movement led by current AGP leaders. Releasing the manifesto at party headquarters here, AGP president Atul Bora said, " Our main commitment will always remain implementing the Assam Accord. The Congress has betrayed Assam in this front and we have come together with the BJP to ensure its implementation."
