Agitating BJP volunteers arrested in Pondy

Puducherry, Sept 12 (UNI) Over one hundred volunteers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including its state president V Saminathan, were arrested when they picketed the Civil Supplies Department to press their demands on Thursday.
They were demanding the direct transfer of money to the bank account of the beneficiaries instead of supplying free rice and a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the supply of free rice, among others demands here in the past.
