Aged man killed as college bus hit him

Chittoor, Jan 24 (UNI) A 75-year-old septuagenarian man was killed when a speeding private college bus hit him when he was crossing the road at Kothapalli Mitta of SR Puram Mandal in this district on Friday.
According to Kothapalli Mitta police, Gangaiah (75), a resident of KP Mitta was hit by a Chittoor based private college bus and his two legs were almost crushed.
He was taken to Chittoor Government hospital in 108 ambulance where doctors referred him to CMC hospital at Vellore as victim condition turned critical.

Tumkur, Sep 19 (UNI) Karnataka Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar on Saturday said that the government is aware of the shortage of ventilators in some districts hospitals and it has been tasked with procuring a sufficient number of ventilators on priority and has put out a tender for the same, crucial to treat people infected by COVID-19.
