After Triptii Dimri, Medha Shankr credits Avinash Tiwary for joining 'Ginny Weds Sunny 2'

Mumbai, Apr 14 (UNI) After Triptii Dimri, actress Medha Shankr has also acknowledged Avinash Tiwary as a key reason behind her decision to come on board "Ginny Weds Sunny 2".
As promotions for Avinash Tiwary's film "Ginny Weds Sunny 2" pick up pace, Shankr revealed that Tiwary was the biggest reason she chose to be a part of the film.
Shankr explained that it wasn't just the script and the scale of the film, but also Avinash's presence that made her decision easier. She described her experience on set as one of trust and comfort, which she believes is crucial, especially for women in the industry.
She said, "When you're a female actress and you appear a little quiet, people don't take you seriously. I'm speaking from a female perspective. It was because of Avinash that I felt so welcome. He's very supportive of new talent and women... He's a secure actor. He gave me the space to openly express what I didn't like and what I wanted to do differently. It all started with Avinash, and Prashant Jha sir is also very supportive and open to feedback. Both of them gave me the freedom to speak my mind boldly."
Shankr also added, "He's the kind of actor who personally suggests that I choose dialogues that suit my character. After reading the script, if he feels Jinni should take a stand on something, he tells me so. He doesn't gain anything from it, yet he does it. I've never seen a male co-actor insist that a female character should be stronger."
Recalling her early days, Dimri shared how she once struggled with self-doubt on the sets of "Laila Majnu". She didn't even know the basics of acting back then and was so nervous that sometimes she felt like she couldn't do it. She credited Avinash for offering timely encouragement and urging her to enrol in an acting workshop, an intervention she now regards as transformative.
She also described Avinash as a wonderful person and a very supportive co-actor. UNI NST RN
