After time limit to burst crackers during Deepavali festival, here comes restriction on bursting crackers with god photos

Bengaluru, Nov 5 (UNI) After restricting bursting of crackers for two hours in the evening by the Karnataka Government as per Supreme Court verdict during Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, right-wing Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP), Bajarang Dal and Hindu Jagruthi Samithi on bursting of crackers with image of gods, but it may not have much effect on already subdued sales of crackers in the State.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, VHP leader Sasikant Sharma said that it affects the sentiments of religious people when they see torn paper pieces of gods spread on the road after bursting crackers. "The government should ban manufacture of crackers with gods photos printed on covers. However, as the crackers have already arrived in the market the public should voluntarily restrict themselves from bursting crackers with gods photos," he added.
He said that "the Government should take necessary steps to see manufacturing of crackers with gods photos are banned and if necessary we will move Court on this issue as it affects sentiments of hindus and there is all possibility of people walking without their knowledge on the torn gods photos lying on the road after bursting the crackers."
