Kabul, Nov 13 (UNI) Seven people were killed and 10 injured, after a counter-mortar vehicle carrying foreign military personnel exploded here on Wednesday.
'The car bomb struck a vehicle belonging to a foreign security company named GardaWorld. As a result, seven Afghan civilians were martyred and 10 people, including four foreign nationals, were wounded,' spokesperson of the Interior Ministry Nasrat Rahimi wrote on twitter, adding that children were among the dead and injured.
The Interior Ministry spokesperson stressed that apart from those seven people who were killed, as many as seven civilians were wounded.
The blast occurred at around 0725 hrs local time in Qasaba area at PD15 of Kabul city, Mr Rahimi said
The blast also damaged several vehicles in the area, an eyewitness said, adding 'the victims have been taken away by ambulances.'
A government counter-narcotics office and several foreign NGOs are located at the scene of the blast. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a series of tweets, President Ashraf Ghani's office condemned the blast, shared condolences with the victims' families, and called the action a crime against humanity.
