Kuala Lumpur, Sep 24, (UNI) Indian boys Under-16 team held mighty Iran to a goalless draw in the AFC U-16 Championship here on Monday. For the first time in 33 years, India managed to hold Iran's national team to a draw in any official match, across all age groups.
India goalkeeper Niraj Kumar shined in this match as he saved many times. He also denied a penalty in the 76th minute to keep Iran goalless.
Earlier, in December, 1984, Asia Cup finals, India managed to hold Iran to a goalless draw.
