Adopt resolution to ensure spl reservation for students of govt schools in Jipmer : MNM urges govt

Puducherry, Feb 19(UNI) Puducherry Unit of the Makkal Needhi Maiam on Wednesday urged the government to adopt a resolution ensuring a special reservation for students of government schools in Jipmer, Government medical College and private medical colleges from the government quota on the lines of resolutions adopted for political reasons in the special session of Assembly convened in last week.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the Executive committee meeting of the party here, Party state president Dr.M A S Subramanian said in a release.

Resolutions congratulating Mr Arvind Kejriwal for becoming Chief Minister of Delhi for a third term by promising corrupt free government and development, urging the Puducherry government to fulfill the promises given to the people at least in the last year of its tenure, to withdraw the cases against Ponlait employees registered under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act and to celebrate the third anniversary of MNM on February 21 in a fitting manner, were adopted in the meeting.
