Administration is the second name of serving the people: Amit Khare

Ranchi, Jan 1 (UNI) Jharkhand Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary
Amit Khare today asked the trainee IAS officials to spend time on knowing the country as the
more time they spend on knowing the people and understanding them the better administrative officer they would become.
Addressing a group of 18 trainee IAS officials who are on a visit to the state as part of the
nation tour programme, he said, administration was the second name of serving the people.
Mr Khare said during work one learns a lot but the nation tour programme is a key aspect to understand how to solve the future challenges of administration therefore they should complete
these programme with seriousness, sensitivity and promptness.
Before the group hit off to visit the state the development commissioner detailed about the challenges, opportunities and achievements made by Jharkhand.
He said during their visit to the state they should try and understand the natural existence
and the people of the state.
Mr Khare said it was always important to interact with the people and listen to them.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Sudhir Tripathi, Social Welfare Secretary Vinay Choubey,
Food Secretary Amitabh Kaushal, DG of state nutrition mission V K Saxena and MD of NHRM Kripanand Jha also addressed the group and answered to their queries and doubts.
Later, the team left for a visit to the Gumla district.
