Adityanath lays foundation stone to UP's first cow sanctuary in Mirzapur

Mirzapur, Jan 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here on Wednesday inaugurated the state's first cow sanctuary and worshiped at Vindyavasini temple.
The Chief Minister, while addressing the public gathering , laid the foundation stone of the state's first cow sanctuary in Gajria from the dias.
Earlier, he named both the main intersections of the city in the name of Iron Man Vallabhbhai Patel and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee respectively. On the occasion, the statues of both the leaders were also unveiled. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also held a review meeting of the development works of the Vindhyachal corridor with the officials.
The third day of Ganga Yatra began from Kashi, the city of 'Baba Vishwanath'. After offering prayers at Assi Ghat here, cabinet ministers of Uttar Pradesh Ashutosh Tandon, Ravindra Jaiswal and Neelkanth Tiwari took out a Jal Yatra which concluded in Ramnagar. After this, Ganga Yatra proceeded to Chunar Mirzapur via rath. During the entire yatra, tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the people. People welcomed the 'Ganga Rath' by showering flowers everywhere.
The Ganga Yatra reached the GIC Ground via Padri at Mirzapur where the public meeting was held in the presence of Mr Adityanath. After the event, the Ganga Yatra team was divided into two. One team left for Prayagraj via Vindhyachal Meja, Manda while the other team proceeded to Sitamarhi from Gogaon via waterways. Functions to welcome the Yatra were organized at various places.
