Adelaide, Jan 15 (UNI) Aussies’s Shaun Marsh tremendous innings of 131 runs, guided Australia to set a total of 299 against the visitor—India, at the second One Day International (ODI) in Adelaide on Tuesday.
Marsh took 123 balls to score 131 runs, though the wickets kept falling on the other end. Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar brought a breakthrough. March was caught by Ravindra Jadeja on Bhuvneshwar’s delivery. Marsh walked towards dressing room leaving Australia 283/7.
Along with Marsh, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell scored a quick-fire 48 off 37 balls, helping post a healthy total on a tricky surface.
After, winning the toss, Australian captain Aron Finch opted to bat but the things went against his favour as the hosts got off to a poor start. They lost their openers Finch and Alex Carey inside the power play.
However, Marsh along with the middle order batsmen took Australia out of trouble. Marsh stitched four fifty-plus partnerships with Usman Khawaja (21), Peter Handscomb (20), Marcus Stoinis (29) and Glenn Maxwell.

From India, Bhuvneshwar, was the most successful bowler, finishing with 4-45. Mohammed Shami also took three wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja one.
