Adani Enterprises' consolidated income up 46 pc in Q2 FY22

New Delhi, Oct 27. (UNI) Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) on Wednesday announced a YoY increase in consolidated total income by 46 pc to Rs 13,597 crores in Q2 FY22.

The rise was driven by significant increase in index prices in IRM segment in its results for the second quarter of the fiscal.

Consolidated EBIDTA increased by 33 pc to Rs 1,262 crores due to increase in revenue and better margins in IRM business and the consolidated PAT attributable to owners from established businesses increased by 67 pc to Rs. 579 crores in line with higher EBIDTA. Overall consolidated PAT attributable to owners stood at Rs. 212 crores vs 362 crores.

In the period H1 of FY22, the company posted a YoY increase in the consolidated total income by 78% to Rs 26,328 crores due to significant increase in IRM segment volumes and prices.

The consolidated EBIDTA increased by 77% to Rs. 2,210 crores due to increase in revenue and better margins in IRM business in the period H1 FY22. The consolidated PAT attributable to owners from established businesses increased by more than 2 times to Rs 1,185 crores due to higher EBIDTA. Overall, the consolidated PAT attributable to owners increased by 23% to Rs 484 crores.

We believe this is fundamental value creation in a world where digitisation has become the most significant business transformation vehicle ever known,” he said.

The company has launched several new businesses which include a digital consumer aggregation platform, networked airport ecosystems, green data centres, and advanced road, metro and water infrastructure. It took over Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram airports in October 2021, completed acquisition of Mumbai International Airports which during the quarter handled 6.5 mn passengers, 62,199 air traffic movements and 63,860 MT cargo. In the roads sector, AEL has portfolio of ten projects with NHAI for construction/operation of roads aggregating to 450+ kms and in the water segment, the company has signed concession agreement with Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation for Bhagalpur waste water project for 45 million litres per day capacity.

In solar manufacturing, the company has a strong order book of 1.2 GW while in the area of mining services, a significant ramp up in GP III, Talabira and Kurmitar mines led to increase in productions volumes by 77% in Q2 FY22.

Adani Wilmar has posted a total revenue growth of 57% to 13,588 crores in Q2 FY22 and EBIDTA for the quarter increased by 79% to Rs 455 crores. It maintained its leadership position in the food business with its “Fortune” brand and continues to lead the refined edible oil market with more than 20% market share.
