Actor Shilpa Shetty and husband seek court intervention to cancel cheating case

Mumbai, Nov 10 (UNI) Actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have approached the Bombay High Court seeking the quashing of a Rs 60-crore cheating case registered against them by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
In their plea, the couple requested that the court direct the police not to file a chargesheet or initiate any coercive action while their petitions remain under consideration.
The matter was heard on Monday by a bench comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekar and Justice Gautam Ankhad, which directed the petitioners to serve copies of their pleas to the complainant, Deepak Kothari, and scheduled the next hearing for November 20.
