Activists stage protest against holding Govt programme during State mourning

Bengaluru, Jan 22(UNI) The Karnataka government had to cancel a two-day programme “Conservation of the Constitution”, organized by the Social Welfare Department, in the city, following a protest by members of several organization.
The activists of the Youth wing of the Veerashaiva Samaja, staged a protest in front of a Hotel, where the programme has been organized in commemoration of the adoption of the Constitution in 1949.
The activists protested against holding the programme despite the state government has announced a three-day mourning as mark of respect to the demise of the 111-year-old Siddaganga Seer Dr Shivakumara Swamiji, who was passed away on Monday.

Karnataka HC stays Women's Commission notice to Kumaraswamy
