Actions would be taken against officers for negligence in development works: UP CS

Lucknow, Jun 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Dr. Anoop Chand Pandey has instructed officers that stringent actions would be taken against those officers who were not actively working for development and public welfare schemes.

Mr. Pandey instructed district panchayat officer, Pratapgarh to achieve satisfactory pace in development work as per the targets in 15 days otherwise actions would be taken against him. He also instructed all additional chief secretaries, principle secretaries and secretaries to present detailed report of development works and public welfare schemes in their allotted districts after review.

He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will conduct review meetings for development works, position of public welfare schemes and in every division after Jun 20.

UP CS said the benefit of all development schemses and projects should be delivered to eligible candidates as soon as possible and for that identification and verification of eligible candidates must be done on priority. He said that keeping farmers interest in mind wheat buying should be accelerated.

Two drown in UP's Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh, Jul 13 (UNI) Two people were killed when four of them drowned while bathing in a pond in the Kunda Kotwali area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Monday.
Police sources said that a youth and three kids drowned while bathing in a pond in the Faredupur village. People present nearby took them out and rushed them to the hospital where doctors declared Mohammad Qasim (10) and Mohammad Shamim (18) dead on arrival.
