Action against Sarpanches and Councillors on cards for attesting fake documents

Jalandhar, 27 Jun (UNI) Setting the wheels of District administration in motion for two major fresh surveys, deputy commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today directed all the sub divisional magistrates (SDMs) to conduct fresh surveys for distribution of wheat and pensions in fair and transparent manner.
Interacting with the Sub Divisional Magistrates, the Deputy Commissioner said that these two surveys for important flagship schemes of the state government need to be conducted diligently and with utmost professional commitment and sincerity. He said that every genuine beneficiary of these pro-people schemes needed to be enrolled properly under these schemes. Mr. Sharma asked the SDMs to regularly monitor these surveys so that people should be benefitted from it.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the officers to ensure regular surveillance by holding review meetings to check the progress of these surveys. He said that the names of beneficiaries must be added or deleted as per the prescribed guidelines of the state government. Mr. Sharma asked the SDMs to ensure strict compliance of the directions of the state government for these surveys.
