ACI Level 1 recognition for Kolkata Airport

Kolkata, Dec 28 (UNI) Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport created a new benchmark in its commitment to reduce carbon footprint.
NSCBI Airport, Kolkata has met all necessary requirements to enter Level 1 mapping of the Airport Carbon Accreditation Programme. Airport Carbon Accreditation is the only institutionally-endorsed, carbon management certification standard for airports. It recognizes and accredits the efforts of airports to manage and reduce their carbon emissions.
Airports Council International (ACI), an organization representing the world's airports has announced that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata has successfully completed the first step of instituting an environment policy and carbon mapping as per the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Programme. The policy includes a framework to reduce emissions and develop a carbon footprint mapping for the airport's own emissions which are under its control.
