Achieve goals set by UN, Patil tells co-op banks

Thane, May 21 (UNI) Union Minister of State Kapil Patil on Saturday asked the co-operative banks in the country to work towards achieving the 17 goals, set by the United Nations for the period 2015-30, given to 146 countries around the world.
Speaking as a chief guest at the golden jubilee function of the G P Parsik Bank here, he said that India was committed to achieving this goal set by the UN and the co-operative banks should work towards it by utilising their CSR funds for the same, he said.
He also asked the banks to help the startups by funding them suitably and ensure that the mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not fail.
