Accident claims 9, hurts 7

Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh, Sep 19 (UNI) Nine persons of a family died – six of them on the spot – and seven sustained severe injuries when an auto-rickshaw, conveying them back to Pandeaathgaon village, collided head on with a jeep in Borgaon on Sunday.
“Sarpanch Hiraman Netam’s relatives were returning from a condolence meeting in Godma. Three of the victims succumbed at the Farasgaon Community Health Centre. Four critical cases were referred to Raipur and the remainder were rushed here. Eight of the deceased were identified as Dimple (1), Jaggobai (30), Vijaya Netam (35), Heera Singh (40), Budhni, driver Manguram Pradhan, Rainu (all 55) and Sukoti (60)” Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma said.
