ACB arrests Osmani Medical College doctor and Junior Assistant for taking bribe

Hyderabad Apr 20 (UNI) The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have arrested Dr Bhukya Balaji, HOD, General Medicine and Khaja Ahmeduddin, Junior Assistant, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad for taking bribe from Post Graduate (MD) General Medicine student.
Earlier, a case of criminal misconduct was registered against them in Cr No 11/2019 u/s 7,13(1)(d) r/w 12(2) of P.C. Act, 1988 and 7 (a) of IPC Act (as amended in 2018) respectively at City Range-2, Hyderabad for collecting Rs 1.6 lakh in May, 2018 and Rs 1.5 lakh in March, 2019 from the Post Graduate (MD) General Medicine students as bribe.
The accused officers performed their duties improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
