Absconding dreaded robber held in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a notorious robber along with a pistol and three live rounds.
According to police, the robber was absconding for three months after fleeing from police custody in June by jumping from a moving train near Agra while being taken to Delhi from Hyderabad.
The accused has previous involvements in 31 criminal cases and he is presently wanted in more than 15 criminal cases of robbery, snatching and MCOCA.
Salman was apprehended by a team of Special Cell, Southern Range led by Inspector Shiv Kumar and Ishwar Singh under the supervision of ACP Attar Singh on the intervening night of Wednesday- Thursday from Vikas Marg - Akshardham road turning here.
Salman has disclosed that while he was being brought to Delhi from Hyderabad by Dakshin Express, escorted by a team of six police personnel of Delhi Police on the intervening night June 11-12 , he managed to remove his handcuffs in the train and upon finding a moment when the police personnel were a bit relaxed, he jumped from the slow moving train near Agra at around 0300 hrs.
After that he managed to reach National Highway 2 and took a lift in a container towards Gurugram from where he reached Delhi and met his associates.
Thereafter, he kept on changing his hideouts in the Khora Colony living in disguise.
He further revealed that disclosed that he alongwith his associates, namely Danish, Hasan and Sohail has been committing armed robbery/snatching in Delhi for last two-three months.
Accused Salman has been taken on police custody remand and further efforts to apprehend his associates are underway, the police added.
