Abrogation of J-K's special status: Supreme Court hearing to resume tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) The Supreme Court will continue hearing on Thursday a batch of petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which had given a special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Arguments and submissions were inconclusive today and would continue before the top court's five-judge Constitution bench.
"We would continue to hear the arguments tomorrow," ruled the Justice N V Ramana-headed bench.
Senior lawyer Raju Ramachandran, appearing for Sehla Rashid and S Faesal, told the Supreme Court that Article 370 should be used under extraordinary conditions such as failure of State machinery, external aggression or internal disturbance but not to subvert it.
