Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 11 2016 6:51PM AAP to field 15 women candidates in next Assy pollsPanaji, Jun 11 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said it will field at least 15 women candidates in the state Assembly polls, likely to be held in March next year.Speaking to UNI, AAP Goa unit Convenor Rajashree Nagvekar said, ''Out of 40 candidates, at least 15 will be women. We are trying to identify at least 15 women candidates. We are now working towards our frontal woman's organisation. Dr Hemali Desai is leading it."The organisation is working towards facilitating entry of more women in politics. We have seen that in other political parties, women are sidelined during distribution of tickets. But in AAP, its not so. We try to facilitate entry of women in politics and encourage them to take a political position. We groom them,'' she said.
