AAP stages walkout over minister’s involvement in multi-cr Ludhiana housing scam

Chandigarh, Feb 25 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) MLAs on Monday staged a walk-out from the Punjab Assembly over the alleged involvement of cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in the multi-crore Grand Manor Homes scam.
As the Question Hour began, Leader of Opposition Harpal Cheema raised the issue of the multi-crore scam involving the minister. He also spoke about referring to the Minister's threats reportedly directed at the investigating officials.
Demanding Ashu's resignation, Mr Cheema said the former was in league with the land mafia. He sought permission to play the phone recordings on the floor of the House, which was declined by the Speaker.
