AAP MLA Bhardwaj to organise 'Sundar Kand' on first Tuesday of every month

New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson and Greater Kailash MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj on Tuesday said that he would organise recitation of Ramayana's Sundar Kand in different parts of his constituency on the first Tuesday of every month and also extended the open invitation for all.
"Sundar Kand will be recited in different areas on the first Tuesday of every month,'' Mr Bhardwaj tweeted. He won his Assembly seat after defeating his nearest rival Shika Roy of BJP with a margin of 16809 votes, making a hat-trick of wining the Assembly seat.
He also invited the people for the first Sunder Kand which was scheduled for Tuesday at 16:30 hours at Chirag Delhi which falls under his constituency.
"Invitation - Sundar Kand, evening 16:30, February 18 on Tuesday, Ancient Shiva Temple, Chirag Delhi (Near Chirag Delhi Metro Station Gate No1)," he added.
The Lord Hanuman had become a poll issue when Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had recited ''Hanuman Chalisa'' in the run-up to recent assembly polls while giving interview to a news channel and visited the Lord Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place.
On the eve of the voting too, Mr Kejriwal visited the ancient Mandir. The BJP Delhi Unit president Manoj Tiwari had termed his visit as ''Nakli Bhakti''(pseudo-devotion).
On the counting day too, Mr Kejriwal paid his obeisance at the same Temple.
When the trends were showing that AAP was heading to another massive win, addressing the party workers at the party headquarters here, he said, "Today it was Tuesday, the day of Hanuman-ji. God has showered Delhi with blessings. I hope Hanuman-ji will keep guiding us so that we, the two crore people of Delhi, will take the city to a new height."
