New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) The nine-day ‘deadlock’ between AAP Government and Delhi Lieutenant Governor
Anil Baijal over the issue of IAS officers' ‘strike’ and doorstep delivery of ration finally ended on Tuesday
evening after Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that all IAS officers have attended meeting called by ministers.
Addressing a joint press conference along with his Cabinet colleagues, Mr Sisodia said, 'officers today came to meeting called by ministers. Many issues have been sorted and rest will be resolved soon.”
“Arvind Kejriwal and Gopal Rai (who are still on strike) will leave the Raj Niwas. We will take the issue of doorstep delivery of ration to the people,” he stated.
On being asked whether the ‘dharna’ has ended, Mr Sisodia clarified that it was not a ‘dharna’ and they were only waiting at Raj Niwas to meet Mr Baijal over their demands to end the IAS officers and approve the doorstep delivery scheme.
“There is no tussle with officers. Today, they gave some indication that they have been directed from the top to attend the meeting of Ministers. It is a good thing,” he said.
