AAP fields eight women candidates for Delhi Assembly polls

New Delhi , Jan 14 (UNI) The ruling Aam Aadmi Party's list of candidates, announced on Tuesday, has eight women contestants in the coming Delhi Assembly elections. Nearly ten per cent of the total 70 candidates are from the minority community this time with seven candidates being fielded from it.
The number of women to contest from the AAP this time is two more as compared to the six women that the party had fielded in the 2015 Assembly polls.
Out of the candidates belonging to the minorities two are from the Sikh community while other five are Muslims.
