AAP demands direct Int'l flights from Amritsar

Chandigarh, Mar 15 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday suggested the state government to start direct international flights from Amritsar to various parts of the world, including Canada, Europe, Australia and America, to save the travellers from facing hardships, apart from reducing their time and money.
Slamming the Captain Amarinder Singh-led government for deliberately delaying the process, AAP Punjab unit chief and MP Bhagwant Mann urged Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to take up the issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This would save the people of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana, from the unmerited harassment being meted out to them in the absence of regular international flights, said Mr Mann, during a press meet here.
