A plastic factory razed to ground in a major fire at Cossipore in north Kolkata

Kolkata, Aug 25 (UNI) A medium sized plastic factory was razed to the ground in

a major fire in thickly populated Cossipore area in north Kolkata in the wee hours

today.

There had been no casualty in the blaze, which was brought under control by

12 fire fighting engines, official sources said.

Local people alleged that the authorities cared little about the safety of the people

by giving random licences to the plastic factories, who flouted all the norms for such

work shops, which stored inflammable articles.
