A habitual house thief nabbed and seized Rs 31 lakhs worth stolen gold ornaments and silver articles

Bengaluru, Nov 30 (UNI) Police have nabbed a 42 year-old habitual house thief and seized from him about Rs 31 lakhs worth stolen 1 kg 19 gram Gold ornament and 900 gram Silver articles.
Police said that arrested Kanthraj, hailed from Chikkaballapura District and after marriage he had settled in Bengaluru.
In one case he escaped from the public by hiding in a drainage and from then on he cultivated habit of hiding the stolen articles in drainages and later sell them for leading luxury life. He was involved in 10 theft cases in the State including Tumakuru and Mandya Districts, he was acquited in some cases and still three cases are pending in the Court.
