9633 LPG connections distributed among BPL families in Baramulla

Srinagar, Nov 14 (UNI) As many as 9633 LPG gas connections have been distributed among Below Poverty Line (BPL) families under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
An official spokesperson here today said that Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari launched PMUY in Baramulla. The Minister said launch of PMUY is one of the steps being taken for the welfare of families who are Below Poverty Line (BPL).
He said that about 14522 families have registered so far under this scheme and 9633 connections were distributed among beneficiaries today. He said that women belonging to the poor families especially in the BPL will get benefitted from this scheme.

Itanagar, Mar 29 (UNI) In a repeat of previous poll outcomes, the hilly Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh is ‘set’ to witness seven candidates from ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, getting elected 'unopposed' to the 11th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, 'without a contest'.
After ‘complete’ scrutiny of nominations filed for all 60 Assembly Constituencies, including the ‘adjourned’ scrutiny of papers done for Itanagar and Daporijo seats today, altogether seven validly nominated BJP candidates were found to be opponent free, and they are likely to be declared elected unopposed on Saturday after the last date of withdrawal of candidature, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Liken Koyu said.
