9 policemen including Puttur DySP injured in PFI attack

Mangaluru, Dec 15 (UNI) Nine policemen, including Puttur DySP were injured after PFI activists, who were protesting arrest of their members, attacked them outside Uppinangady police station on Tuesday.
The policemen were attacked by People's Front of India (PFI) activists with sharp weapons and empty soda bottles. PSI Prasanna Kumar was stabbed in his palm, while DySP Gana P Kumar was injured, the police said.
Other injured policemen include Circle Inspector Umesh Uppalik, PSI Omana, Kiran Kumar, Renuka, Sharif Nadaf, Sheshadri and Harish, they said.
