Itanagar, Oct 30 (UNI) As many as 88 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal
Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to 14668, while the fatalities toll rose to 37 following
death of a 56-year-old man.
According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), out of
the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) reported the highest at 32, followed
by East Siang 12 and West Siang nine.
Four each cases were also reported from Upper Subansiri, Papum Pare, Lower Dibang
Valley (LDV) and Lohit, three each from Tawang, Upper Siang, Tirap and Changlang, two
each from Pakke Kessang and Lower Subansiri, one each from Kra daadi, West Kameng
and Longding, it said.
Barring 29, all the cases are asymptomatic.
As per the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, a 56-year-old man died at around 0340
hours at DCH, Pasighat on Thursday. He was tested positive for Covid-19 at Bordumsa
on Wednesday and was suffering from Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus. He was referred to DCH,
Pasighat from Namsai with severe respiratory distress.
On the other hand,143 Covid-19 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to
12623.
Total active cases in the state stood at 2008.
