79 injured in Avaniyapuram Jallikattu event

Madurai, Jan 14 (UNI) Seventy nine persons, including 33 bull tamers and 27 spectators were injured in the annual “Jallikattu” event (Taming of Bulls) held at Avaniyapuram village, here on Sunday.

Avaniyapuram Jallikattu is the first Bull taming event held in South Tamil Nadu, as part of the ongoing harvest festival of “Pongal.”
