78 new water supply projects to be completed at Rs 112.83 cr cost in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 17 (UNI) Directing Public Health Engineering (PHE) to complete new Water Supply Projects (SWP) in South Kashmir within 18 months secretary PHE and Irrigation and Flood control (I&FC) Farooq Ahmad Shah on Saturday said 78 new WSP were constructed at Rs 112.83 cr cost, an official spokesman said here this evening.
He said Mr Shah directed that all the new water supply projects constructed in four districts of South Kashmir must be completed within 18 months so that safe drinking water would be provided to the people there.
The Secretary gave the direction during a high-level meeting convened to review the present status of various new water supply projects constructed in Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts of south Kashmir.
