These findings have surfaced from VMR survey which was conducted from September 1 to 11 in rural and urban areas of the state stretching across 15 assembly constituencies and its report was released today. Altogether 5516 respondents participated in the survey. The samples were collected based on the result of 2014 assembly elections, caste equations and polling booth characteristics. The research firm said that the purpose of the survey was to map the opinion of people of Jharkhand regarding the performance of the state as well as Union Government. The survey indicates that 55 per cent people of the state are happy with Raghubar Das government of the state. If this is converted into per cent in numbers of seats the BJP will win 65 out of 81 seats, JMM 12, Congress 2, JVM 1 and others 1. The survey finds out that 0f 75 per cent voters who voted for the BJP in 2014 are still loyal to the party, but other parties have failed to keep their vote bank intact. JMM has hold on only 54 per cent electors, Congress on 50 pc electors and JVM 41 pc electors compared to 2014. Every third voter of the JMM and JVM seems to migrate to the BJP in the survey. The survey finds that BJP has gained handsomely among the ST and SC voters of the state and has also breached the traditional tribal bastion of the JMM. 30 pc voters of the JMM and the Congress have already shifted to the BJP. If elections are held today JMM and Congress will have to suffer losses because of this shift.
