71st Sarvodaya Day observed in the City of Palaces and rich tributes were paid to the Father of the Nation

Mysuru, Jan 30 (UNI) The cultural capital of Karnataka observed the 71st Sarvodya day to pay homage to the father of the Nation Mahatama Gandhi who was assassinated on this day 71 years ago.
The function was organized by Department of Gandhian Studies and Department of Commerce, University of Mysuru at Gandhi Bhavan where not only the bust of Gandhiji is installed besides the replica of Sabarmathi Asharama on the sculptures of the Mahatama in various poses.
Freedom fighter Y C Revanna, speaking on the occasion, recalled the contributions of Gandhi and said that the sacrifice made for country’s independence by the leader of the nation was unforgettable.
