Amroha, Jun 10 (UNI) Seven youths were feared drowned in Ganga at Brajghat under Gajraula police station on Monday.
Police said the youths, who were here to attend a religious ritual , came to bath in Ganga when they got drowned. While divers have fished out five bodies, but two are still missing.
The youths who drowned were identified as Vipin,his brother Manoj along with Gautam, Sanjeev, Dharmendra, Sachin and Vanti.They visited Brajghat for a religious ritual when they got drowned.
All the youths are the natives of Lurhari Khaddar in Amroha.
District Magistrate Umesh Mishra, rushed to the spot to monitor the rescue operation.
Meanwhile, chief minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident.
