67 percent of Indian enterprises will appoint Chief AI Officers within 2 years: IBM Study

Kochi, Oct 7 (UNI) Indian enterprises are intensifying their focus on artificial intelligence (AI) leadership, with a significant shift toward creating strategic roles to drive AI transformation across business functions.
A new study by the IBM Institute for Business Value reveals that 67 per cent of Indian enterprises plan to appoint a Chief AI Officer (CAIO) within the next two years, reflecting the country’s growing commitment to building structured AI governance and leadership frameworks, a release said.
Currently, 25 per cent of Indian organizations already have a CAIO in place, a role that has quickly evolved from a technical position to a central pillar of enterprise strategy.
