5th Tribal Cultural festival begins in Tripura

Agartala, Mar 17 (UNI) Two days long 5th Tribal Cultural Heritage Meet began last evening to showcase the costumes as well as folk songs and dances of 19 tribes of Tripura and to bring integration among the communities.
Inaugurating the festival Vice Chancellor of Tripura University Prof V L. Dharurkar appreciated the effort of ONGC for promoting culture and heritage of the state and said it was not just exploring and producing gas in the state but also exploring and supporting the talent of the state, bringing them to forefront and providing them the much needed platform.
The age old heritage and culture of the tribal communities of the state will get a new lease of life with the platform which is being provided by Tripura Asset since last few years, he maintained and urged the people of the state to monetise the unique form of culture across the globe.
