5 soldiers killed in attack of French troops on Niger’s National Guard

Niamey, Aug 12 (UNI) At least five soldiers were killed and four others were injured as a result of an attack on Niger’s National Guard, carried out by French service members, media report.
Rebels in Niger increased the threat level on Wednesday after they said that actions of French troops resulted in an attack on the National Guard, adding that a French warplane entered the African nation’s airspace.
The attack left five Nigerian soldiers dead and fourth others injured, the ActuNiger news portal reported on Friday, citing information from Niger’s National Guard. Two of the injured are in grave condition.
