5 dead, dozens injured in building collapse in Iran

Tehran, May 23 (UNI/Xinhua) At least five people were dead and 24 others injured after parts of a 10-story commercial building suddenly collapsed in the southwestern Iranian city of Abadan on Monday, an Iranian emergency official said.

The rescue operations are underway with two search teams, rescue dogs and a helicopter, State TV IRIB quoted the Spokesman for Iran's emergency services Mojtaba Khaledi as saying. Ambulances were immediately sent to the scene, while the firefighters were also present.
