5.4-magnitude quake hits Taiwan

Taipei, Oct 11 (UNI) A 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Taiwan's Hualien County at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 23.24 degrees north latitude and 121.32 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 14 km, the center said.
