4th World Congress of Paediatric Ophthalmology from Dec 1

Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) The three-day fourth World Congress of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (WCPOS) organized by L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) will be held in the city from December 1 to 3.
Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, Dr Ramesh Kekunnaya, Head of Services, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Adult Strabismus & Neuro-Ophthalmology, Child Sight Institute, Jasti V Ramanamma Children's Eye Care Centre, LVPEI said that the World Congress features an exceptional scientific programme including scientific symposia, live surgery, free paper sessions, numerous workshops, debates and a mock trial.
The 4th WCPOS also to introduce some exciting new features including the first ever Yoga-with-the-Gurus session in addition to a Live Surgery session and an Adult-Paediatric Interface Day, he said.
Dr Ramesh said more than 1000 delegates from over 60 countries are attending the Congress. 500 plus specialty lectures and 350 plus posters/papers/videos that would be presented along with video presentations. The three keynote lectures would be delivered by renowned authorities Dr Richard Hertle, USA, Dr Harminder Dua, UK and Dr Lea Hyvarinen, Finland. In addition, following on from the success at the previous Congress, WSPOS would present ‘The Mock Trial' with Dr Wagih Aclimandos, UK, Dr Gil Binenbaum, USA, Dr Subhadra Jalali, India, Dr Alex Levin, USA; and Dr Kimberley Tan, Australia, he added.
Dr Ken Nischal, Director, Pediatric Ophthalmology, UPMC Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh and Dr David Granet, Director, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Ratner Children’s Eye Center, University of California, USA also spoke on the occasion.

Srinagar, Sep 26 (UNI) The State Administrative Council (SAC) on Wednesday approved the draft ‘Jammu and Kashmir Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2018’, which seeks to provide for speedy disposal of the arbitration matters and for providing mediation and conciliation in pending arbitration matters before the court.
