49 test positive for COVID-19, 2 die in UT since last 24 hrs

Puducherry, Jul 9 (UNI) Two patients died and 49 persons tested positive for Coronavirus in the Union Territory since the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases to 565.
According to the COVID status released by the health department here on Thursday, one person died in Karaikal Government General hospital and another died in the Government Medical College here.
All the 49 fresh cases were reported in Puducherry region. As many as 42 persons were admitted to the Government Medical College and 7 to Jipmer here.
