43 kg Red Sandalwood seized at IGI Airport New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Saturday detected 43 Kg of Red Sandalwood at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, an official release said here on Sunday

Around 2125 hrs on October 12, the CISF surveillance and intelligence personnel at Airport selected two Indians for thorough checking in check-in area of Terminal-3 and in physical checking of their baggages, some bundles of Red Sandalwood weighing around 43 kg were found inside their bags.

The passengers were identified as Vishal Kumar and Ankit Kumar were bound for Hong Kong by a schedule flight.

During the enquiry, the passengers could not produce any documents for carrying the same, the CISF said in a statement.

Later, both the passengers along with the recovered Sandalwood weighing around 43 Kg were handed over to the Custom officials for further legal action, the CISF added.
